Our Friends

The Friends of Hibernia initiative was launched at the Open Day in May 2002. It was born out of the wish to give a form to the community of well-wishers which surrounds the College. Hibernia has entered a new phase of development and needs support in that journey. We are asking everyone who has been involved in some way or other with Hibernia to become a 'Friend of Hibernia'.

Join the Friends of Hibernia!

There are different ways of becoming a Friend:

Hibernia College

Hibernia College exists to provide high quality education and research in the field of art therapy and related health and educational studies based on an integrated Anthroposophic approach.

From its inception this approach to medicine and therapies has been complimentary to education, conventional medicine and therapeutic models and are not an alternative to them.

More Courses...

You can make a one-off donation, you can make a standing order or you can help in a more practical way by donating your time or your expertise to certain initiatives. So please do not hesitate, contact us for more information or an application form and help to swell the ranks of 'Friends of Hibernia'.

We have started a fund which is being used in two ways:

• The Bursary Fund – helps support students in their studies by helping with such costs as: fees, travel costs associated with placements and the medical conferences, as well as assistance with materials. (This fund is overseen by a committee where at least one student is a member.)

• Future Developments – for capital improvements, investments, specific events and renewal of classroom equipment.

Don’t forget that small amounts of money (£5-£10) coming in monthly from a large number of people add up to substantial and helpful sums!

As a Friend of Hibernia you will:

• Be added to the FOH (Friends of Hibernia) mailing list

• Receive special invitations and mailings such as: the regular newsletter, Hibernia festivals and special events

• Receive a 5% discount on all short courses if you sign up as a Friend of Hibernia with a standing order

• Be invited to attend the annual general meeting and receive the annual report

Wish List

Meanwhile please take a look at our wish list to see if you can help in any way:

The students now have the use of a computer but we have no PRINTER to go with it; a SLIDE PROJECTOR is needed for the many presentations given by students.

Support the students

A set of 4 cards has been produced from some of the paintings by Karin Jarman on show in the Hibernia Travelling Exhibition; by purchasing them you are directly supporting the students of Hibernia. Any profit from the sale will go into the Bursary Fund.
